This will be accomplished by providing educational training, promoting effective leadership, sharing information, and mentoring our future leaders. MembershipSection membership is open to individuals who are now, or have been, engaged in or responsible for providing police services at a national or state/providence State House. Section members will promote and develop beneficial relationships with the private sector and our individual communities. Integrity, honor, and ethical behavior will be the standard for professionalism among our section members. Upcoming MeetingsThe Capitol Police section will be holding its first official meeting at the IACP Annual Conference in San Diego to set its mission, values, goals, and projects for the coming years. The first meeting will include subject matter experts and leadership from other sections. We need your help in establishing a section that the entire IACP membership can be proud of. The Capitol Police section meeting will take place on November 9, from 1pm to 4pm, in the San Diego Convention Center; you can find the location in the conference program.
